Journal Aim & Scope
The European Journal of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery is aimed primarily at vascular surgeons dealing with patients with arterial, venous and lymphatic diseases. Contributions are included on the diagnosis, investigation and management of these vascular disorders. Papers that consider the technical aspects of vascular surgery are encouraged, and the journal includes invited state-of-the-art articles.

Reflecting the increasing importance of endovascular techniques in the management of vascular diseases and the value of closer collaboration between the vascular surgeon and the vascular radiologist, the journal has now extended its scope to encompass the growing number of contributions from this exciting field. Articles describing endovascular method and their critical evaluation are included, as well as reports on the emerging technology associated with this field.

Accuracy: The abstract should accurately reflect the purpose and content of the paper; Independence: The abstract should stand alone and be independent, therefore special terms, all abbreviations (excluding measured units), and acronyms should be explained; Concise and specific: Each sentence in the abstract should provide information to the maximum extent possible and be as concise as possible; Tense and voice: The abstract generally uses present and simple past tenses, and passive voice to describe factual events

Different types: descriptive, informative, and structured. Descriptive abstracts are often used in social sciences and humanities, providing general information about the research topic without specific details about methods and conclusions. Informative abstracts are common in scientific papers, presenting information about research background, objectives, methods, results, and conclusions. Structured abstracts are information-based summaries composed of a series of headings (e.g., research aims, methods, results, conclusions), primarily used in medical papers and clinical trial reports

Experience sharing: The editors and reviewers are very friendly, but it's been almost 40 days since my submission was accepted. Why haven't I received the galley proof email yet? When did everyone else receive their galley proof email?

The reply email should have guidelines, which are probably two multiple-choice questions related to the articles, followed by the correct answers!
