The aim of Frontiers in Nutrition is to integrate major scientific disciplines in this vast field in order to address the most relevant and pertinent questions and developments. Our ambition is to create an integrated podium based on original research, clinical trials, and contemporary reviews to build a reputable knowledge forum in the domains of human health, dietary behaviors, agronomy & 21st century food science. Through the recognized open-access Frontiers platform we welcome manuscripts to our dedicated sections relating to different areas in the field of nutrition with a focus on human health.

Specialty sections in Frontiers in Nutrition include, for example, Clinical Nutrition, Nutrition & Sustainable Diets, Nutrition and Food Science Technology, Nutrition Methodology, Sport & Exercise Nutrition, Food Chemistry, and Nutritional Immunology.     May I ask how things are going now? How long will it take for the manuscript to be sent for external review? It was submitted on October 25th, and there has been one change of handling editor since then. We are currently in the process of inviting reviewers.

    Encountering good reviewers is crucial. One of the reviewers gave a lot of constructive feedback and made many revisions, but the communication was smooth, with responses usually on the same day or the next day. However, the other reviewer was very unprofessional, taking a long time to respond and only giving brief feedback before disappearing. Regardless of the conclusion, a response should be given. This wastes the time of the authors and editors and is very irresponsible.

    May I ask what direction of article did you submit? I submitted to the section on nutrition for hypertension. I submitted on July 26th, and it was reviewed externally on August 3rd. I'm not sure if it will be rejected immediately.

    Submission on July 4th, acceptance on August 3rd, the editing efficiency is very very high, the entire process is very smooth. Most likely related to the fact that the associate editor happens to be the topic editor, and it coincides with a newly established research topic.

    After submission, the first month had one reviewer who provided feedback. I continued to wait for responses from other reviewers. In the meantime, the journal asked me to recommend reviewers, and I did. After three months passed without finding a reviewer, they rejected my submission, claiming it did not meet the requirements. It's truly absurd that they couldn't find a reviewer for such a long time and instead claimed my article didn't meet the submission requirements. They should have stated that it didn't meet the requirements from the beginning. They wasted four months of my time, which is very irresponsible. I advise being cautious when submitting articles.
